This painting on canvas tells the tale of the visit I made in my last reporting period to the very famous Maa Siddha Bhairavi Temple situated in village Mantridi in Brahmapur in Odisha. The deity here is found four feet below the ground level over which the shrine is built. Inside the temple complex, there is a gallery of statues of different god and goddesses. Famous Sakti stalas, Jyotirlingas, and other important places of the Hindu religion are also displayed here. Brahmapur is at a distance of three hours by train from the capital city Bhubneshwar. The temple housed the very old Turtle and visiting pilgrims take the blessings of the Devi and turtle.
